Paul E. "Muskie" Brown, 84, died 8:32 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born July 7, 1921 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late R. Ernest and Sarah Yeager Brown.
He was a member of King St. U.B. Church and was active in Lurgan U.B. Church for 32 years.
A veteran of World War II in the U.S. Navy, he was a graduate of CHS 1939 and was a member of NARFE, AARP, Post 46 American Legion, and VFW Post 1599, where he served on the Honor Guard.
Employed as a guard at LEAD 28 years, he retired as criminal investigator 1978.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha Hockensmith Brown; children, Paul L., Chambersburg, Rosann (Mrs. Edward) Breon, Chambersburg, Timothy W., Jacksonville Fla., Teresa (Mrs. Bradley) Bowers, Newburg; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandhcildren; one great-great-grandaughter; and three sisters, Irene Matthews and Miss Patricia Brown, both of Chambersburg, and Jean Boles, Detriot Mich.
He was preceded in death by a baby brother.
