MRS. M. BARNHART IS BURIED ON MONDAY

Private services were held on Monday at the Trostel-Chapman Funeral home in New Carlisle for Mrs. Maude R. Barnhart who died on August 12 at the family home, 7205 Pisgah road, following a long illness. Rev. Thorton Black officiated at the service.
Mrs. Barnhart was a lifelong resident of the community, and a lifelong member of the West Charleston Church of the Brethren.
Many years ago, she was a teacher in West Charleston, when that community had a school house and later at Bethel school. She was a graduate of Wittenberg College, Springfield.
Surviving are her husband, Wray Barnhart; four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Studebaker of New Carlisle, Mrs. Leila Shively, West Palm Beach, Fla., Miss Opal Barnhart of Greenville, and Mrs. Kathryn Richards, Walnut Creek, Calif., and one son, Lowell Barnhart of New carlisle.
Burial was made in the New Carlisle cemetery. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 17, at 8:00 p.m. at the West Charleston Church of the Brethren.
