Lillian G. "Babe" Ackerman, 67, of 511 1st St., Nooksack, died Friday in Bellingham.


She was born Feb. 27, 1920, and was a lifelong Whatcom County resident. She was a member of the Advent Christian Church in Nooksack and the Hopewell Grange.


Ackerman married James Ackerrnan Oct. 19, 1940, in Lynden.


Survivors include her husband; a son Jim Ackerman of Nooksack; a daughter Lynda Moore of Bremerton; four brothers, Gordon DeGraaff, Howard DeGraaff and Gary DeGraaff, all of Lynden, and Mel DeGraaff of Longview; two sisters Adria Knudsen and Deanna Vander Yacht, both of Lynden and four grandchildren.


Visitation hours will be 1 to 9 p.m. today at Gillies Funeral Horne. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Gillies Funeral Home, with the Rev. Earl Crouse officiating. Burial will follow in Nooksack Cemetery.


Memorials may be sent to Nooksack Valley Little League, Peoples State Bank, 102 E. Main st., Everson, WA 98247.
