At the age of 78 passed into our Lord's house on May 14, 2006. A resident of Shenandoah Village in Sicklerville, NJ since 1982.
He is survived by Janet (nee Forker) Cimini-Betson companion and wife of 37 years. Tom was predeceased by his parents; Anna (nee Farrell) and Thomas Betson, Sr., his brothers; John, Edward and baby sister Anna Marie. He is survived by step-son; Anthony Cimini, a nephew; John Betson, of the Pottstown area of PA, and many 1st & 2nd cousins in PA and South Jersey.
Tom served in the US Army during WW II as a transport driver, then he drove for Acme Markets in Philadelphia until illness forced him to retire in1980. He is a 3rd Degree Knight at St. Edwards Church in Pine Hill, NJ and a member of the American Legion Post # 0846 in Philadelphia, PA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Tom's Life Celebration Thursday 10 - 11 am at St. Edward's R.C. Church, 500 Erial Road, Pine Hill, NJ 08021 followed by his Funeral Mass Thursday 11 am. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom's name to: the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or Mass Cards would be appreciated. Family Services by INGLESB/GIVNISH of Maple Shade 856-779-7900.
