Australian Shepherd-Black Lab mix. We were told that she was 3 years old. We got her from Marshalltown. She was either abandoned by, or taken from, her former owner, who was a worker who traveled a lot. The story still sounds strange to me. We brought her home in July, 1999. I believe it was the 18th or the 19th. She came to us very well house broken but she had too heavy a coat to live in the house. I would have loved to have had her for a house dog. The kindest dog I have ever known. One brown eye, one blue eye. She had cancer of the liver and spleen and her lungs were filling with fluid.
