HUBERT LLOYD ALEXANDER
Hubert Lloyd Alexander, 81, of Moberly, died at his home in rural Moberly, Monday afternoon, Feb. 20.
He was born in Huntsville Jan. 29, 1914 the son of John Edwin Alexander and Laura Belle Roop. He was retired from Wabash and N&W railroads where he was a car man. He also served in the Army Corps of Engineers in World War II, serving in China, Burma and India. He was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, in Moberly.
Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Belle Brockman Alexander in 1932, as well as a brother, a sister and his parents.
He was married to Dollie Belle Heifner on Nov. 7, 1942 in Clovis, New Mexico. She survives of the home.
Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William E. and Helen Alexander, of Moberly; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Albert Enslen, of Manassas, VA; a brother, Arnold Alexander, of Moberly; two sisters, Juanita Fuhrman, of Moberly and Louise Crutchfield, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Kevin and Guyla Alexander, of Huntsville, Patsy and Brian Winn, of Kansas City, Mo. John Alexander, of Moberly, Greg Enslen, of Manassas, VA, and Pam and Steve Swartz, of Burke, VA; and a great-grandson, Tyler Alexander.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Moberly, with Rev. William Pitts officiating. Burial will be in Hagar Cemetery, south of Huntsville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Million-Taylor-Patton Funeral Home, in Huntsville and also at 12 p.m. (noon) at the church until time of service.
Family suggests memorials to the Glad Tidings Church Foreign Missions.
