Green-Wood Cemetery
Section 45, Lots 5572 and 5573, conjoined.
These lots were purchased April 1 1852, lot 5572 (left half of photo) by James C. Rutherford, and 5573 (right) by John Fitch. The 6 stones standing here bear the names GEDNEY, HARTLEY,and FITCH. The sole appearance of the RUTHERFORD surname is on the lot stone at the front corner of lot 5572 (out of the left foreground of the frame). The names AULD, FOLKS, and ROSE do not appear at all. Most burials here are not marked. A list of lot residents, with burial dates, appears after the inscriptions.
