My Uncle~

Jean was all boy and had a happy, carefree life with his parents and sister, Wanda Mae.

After his time in the sevice he came home to his wife Faye and his stepson, Bobby Jack.

When he was young his father taught him how to play his bugle he used in WWI. Jean was a wonderful musician, he could play many instruments. He had a beautiful singing voice and loved to dance the night away at the Morgans Point Family Dances in Texas.

I remember in 1960 he came by our house on his new Harley Davidson motorcycle and took us kids for a ride, of course this made him the cool uncle. He worked for the Rainbo Bread Company for many years.

Jean and his second wife Anita moved to California about 1962 with their four chidren.

I'm so glad I got to go visit him for two weeks in Jan. 1967, he passed away a month later. He had a big smile and a huge heart. He is so dearly loved & missed.

Children:
Bobby Jack Austin
Jean & John Bassett
Stanley Bassett
Susie Jean
Jimmie Bassett
Taylor Bassett
