Marjorie E. Sparks Boswell Copeland, 78, 5588 Jordan Road, formerly of Mentor, Ohio, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at the Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Kingsville, Ohio, daughter of the late Arthur and Marie Eddy Sparks.
She graduated from Kingsville High School and was a homemaker most of her life.
She served as a seaman first class telegrapher in the U.S. Navy Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES) during World War II.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Sparks
Survivors include her husband, Earl F. Copeland; four sons, Roderick Boswell of Baton Rouge, La., Michael Boswell of Toledo, Ohio, Donald Boswell of Mentor and Kevin Boswell of Key West, Fla.; a daughter, Roberta Boswell of East Cleveland, Ohio; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were private.
Arrangements were handled by the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2500 Norcross Road.
Memorials may be made to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 W. 12th St., Erie, PA 16505.
