New Boston, Texas--Neva Yvonne Beasley, 75, of Hooks, Texas, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, in a Mount Pleasant, Texas nursing home.
Mrs. Beasley was born May 27, 1938 in Odessa, Texas. She was past president of Eagles Lodge, Odessa, Texas, Grand Matron of Eastern Star, Odessa, and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward D. Bennett.
Survivors include one son, Terry A. Beasley; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Shirley Johnston-Thomas of New Boston, Elaine and Kenneth Sanders of Oklahoma City, Lenora and Bob Anderson of Odessa and Nancy and Terry Blair and Mamie Miller of DeKalb; two grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Malta Baptist church with Brian P. Leverett officiating. Burial will be in Malta Cemetery under direction of Comforter Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, Mount Pleasant, and Malta Cemetery Association.
