Ruth was the daughter of Charles and Emalena(Watson)Cox born in Mason City, Io.
She recieved her education and graduated from Mason City High School. She married Charles Clemens March 19, 1948,at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Mason City. After their marriage Ruth traveled with her husband while he was stationed in the Navy after his discharge they returned to Mason City before moveing to Ventura in 1955, resideing there for 55 yrs.
Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother.
She enjoyed sewing, boating, snowmobiling, dancing,gardening and canning, but her great love was her husband, children,and grandchildren. She was a member of the Venturia Riders Snowmobile Club, holding conventions in Mason City.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband,Charles Clemens of Ventura; two sons Steve(Kathy)Clemens Mason City, and Rusty(Carol)Clemens of Ventura; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Three sisters Gertrude(Goldie) Bartusek of Old Town,Fl; Donna Pierce originally from Clear Lake,Io. and Carole(Gene)Bacon Ft, Collins, Co; and one brother Francis Cox of Ellendale, N.D.;preceeded in death by her parents; one son Donald who died in 1999; three sisters Zona Jenkens, Patricia Flattness,and June (Patterson)Faught;and four brothers, Wliiiam Cox;Charles(Eddie)Cox,Jackie Cox, and Glenn Cox.
