Jerry (as he liked to be called) was the beloved husband of the late Justine(Ralston)Sweeney,devoted father of the late Ellyn Sweeney Lague and John J. Sweeney. Son of the late Bernard J. Sweeney and the late Mary T. Roche. Brother of the late Edward B. Sweeney, Mary T Romano and the late Donald R. Sweeney. He will be remembered by many neices, nephews and great neices and nephews. He was also a Detective for the Boston Police Dept. for several years until becoming a Probation Officer of Plymouth and Norfolk Counties in 1959. He was also a chief petty officer aboard the USS Philadelphia during WWII. He really enjoyed family times ie:
picnics, parties, the beach etc. He also belonged to many veteran organizations.
