OBITUARY in Waxahachie Daily Light, Wed. Aft. Sept. 6, 1933



Funeral services for P.D. Banks, 82 years old, who died at his home

in Maypearl at 2:15 Wednesday morning, were to be held Wednesday

afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Baptist Church in Maypearl.

Mr. Banks, a Confederate soldier, had been a resident of Maypearl

for many years. He is survived by two children, a son of Fort Worth,

and a daughter, Mrs. Mozley of Maypearl.

Interment will be held in the Maypearl Cemetery.

(He may have been 81 years old when he died, only 2 months and

9 days from being 82. Survivors should read as follows: a son,

William Lawrence Banks and wife Harriet of Fort Worth; a daughter,

Lola Lee Mozley and husband Foster of Maypearl; and 8 grandchildren.

Married Katie A Phillips on Aug 28, 1879 in Lincoln Co., Tenn.
She died Dec 13 1905 at Tuxedo, Jones Co., TX and is buried in the Fairview Cemetery near Tuxedo.
