David was born on November 17, 1944 to Robert W. Agne and Thelma M. (Horine) Agne in Richmond, IN. He graduated in 1963 from Davidson High School in Mobile, Alabama and attended Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, MI.
He joined the Navy in 1966 and was a cook on the USS Piedmont. He was honorably discharged in 1970. He and his family lived in northern Michigan for several years where he was a chef at several resort restaurants including Boyne Mountain and Perry Davis. After moving back to Battle Creek, David was employed with the Federal Center until he retired in 2002.
David had many interests including the Battle Creek Bike Club and the Kite Club. He enjoyed camping at Lakeview United Methodist Camp on Memorial and Labor Day each summer. He was also active in filming and directing for Access vision. Most recently he was voted onto the Springfield City Commission.
David is survived by his loving wife Priscilla Mae (Holley) Agne; sons, Eric Lance (Christy) Agne, Jeromy Daniel (Agne); mother, Thelma Marie (Horine) Agne and extended family in Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Wendelene Agne.
