WILFORD BEATTY PASSES BEYOND
Rites Held at Flatrock Today for Well Known Man, 75.
Edinburg, Aug. 20—Funeral services for Wilford A. Beatty, 75, who died Friday evening at 8:45 o'clock at his home file miles east of here, were conducted this afternoon from the Flatrock Methodist church.
Mr. Beatty was a prominent resident of this community, and had lived on the County Line road for many years. He was born in this state May 15, 1859, the son of John and Rachael Beatty. He married Miss Mary Banks, and five children were born, the wife and three children preceding him in death. In 1929 he married Mrs. Martha Phelp, who survives.
Survivors besides the widow are a son, Clarence Beatty, and a daughter, Mrs. Hattie James, both of Indianapolis, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Ray Bozell, of Old Union, and the Rev. Terrill were in charge of the funeral rites with interment in Robert's Chapel cemetery.
