"Judy Lee (Greenwood) Bowman, age 68, of St. Joseph, Mo., passed away Monday, January 9, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Judy was born May 16, 1943, in a hotel in Breckenridge, Mo., to Reginald and Helen (McCormick) Greenwood. Judy was a secretary for Breckenridge R-I School for many years before beginning a 20 year career with the Missouri Department of Corrections, where she retired as a business manager at the Maryville Treatment Center. Judy was an avid crafter, lover of violets and a collector of beautiful things. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Bobby; and her husband, Lloyd Bowman.
Judy is survived by her three daughters, Traci Bowman, Laurie Bowman, and Nici (Craig) Hayes, all of St. Joseph; her two granddaughters, Hannah and Kate, whom she loved crafting with; her siblings, Jim (Judi) Greenwood of Colorado and Sharon (Bob) Grant of Hamilton, Mo.; many nieces and nephews all over the United States and several close friends.
Funeral services were held at Breckenridge United Methodist Church in Breckenridge, Mo. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Mo."
