|Elizabeth Short? Brabrook|
Birth and death information are from "Paulk Progeny" by Denzel Dee Mathews. John Brabrook is considered to be the Brabrook immigrant.
"John Brabrook and Elizabeth had a home near the present centre of Belmont as early as 1640. He is frequently mentioned in the early records."
"In Watertown records published by the Historical Society of that town in 1894, a description of John Brabrook's "homestall" is given along with other early residents. John Brabrook. A homestall of 6 acres bounded on the east with Stone Street, the west with William Hammond, the north with John Bisco and the south, Timothy Hawkins. (and another 35 acres is talked about... a total of ninety acres were issued to John Brabrook in Watertown."
His wife's maiden name might have been "Short" since after their father's death, several of their children are suspected to have gone to live with their uncle Henry Short (36868436) of Newbury in Essex County, MA. There are pages of information regarding Widow Braybrook but no further mention of her after May 3, 1664.
