William Omar "Willie" Barnhill, 38, died due to basilar skull fracture after the car he was riding in was hit by a train in St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri. He was born December 1879 in Hickman county, Tennessee to John O. Barnhill and Clara E Barnhill. He was the oldest of 8 sibilings: Albert T Barnhill, Ella M Barnhill, Alton Barnhill, Clarance R Barnhil, Florance G Barnhill, Clifford E Barnhill, Mamie L Barnhill. and Dewey H Barnhill.

Willie made his way to Clinton County, Missouri and married Maudie May Maddox on February 8, 1913. They had three children, with one daughter, Hattie Marie Barnhill, predeceasing him in death.

He leaves behind the widow, Maudie, and their two children, William C. Barnhill and Margaret Barnhill.
