Pat Buckley was the oldest son of Dennis and Ann Buckley. He married Ellen Harrington and had 7 kids, but only 3 lived to adulthood. His adult children were Mary Buckley Brewer, Lizzie Buckley, and Joseph Buckley. He retired early from his job as a blacksmith after his doctor thought he might be suffering from tuberculosis. However, after going on a sea voyage to Ireland, his health improved. He lived a long and happy life and loved to walk. Even in his 70's, he had a habit of frequently walking to his brother Willie's house in Troy. He also loved children and his Boston Terrier, Boots. He died of natural causes in 1944 and outlived all of his younger brothers.
