Mercer Nancy L. Mercer, 75, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion. She was of the Christian faith and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Everett Mercer of Atkins; two daughters, Vickie Dixon of Atkins and Becky Blevins and husband, Gale, of Rural Retreat; one son, Dale Mercer and wife, Melissa, of Rural Retreat; one sister, Margie Bennington of Blue Springs; three grandchildren, Tonya Pickering, Cindy Andies, and Joshua Blevins; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel, Marion with the Rev. Neville Mozingo and the Rev. Eddie Beck officiating. Burial followed in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion. The family received friends Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel or anytime at the home of her daughter, Vickie Dixon.
