Adeline and her twin sister Edith were born in England to Charles & Mary Dickens. She came to the United States in 1906 with her husband Thomas Haines and settled in Stuart (later known as Lochgelly) West Virginia. Her daughter Anne Evelyn was born in 1907. Thomas died in early 1910 due to injuries from a coal mine accident. She met and married Leonard Millington later that year. To this union was born a son John and twin daughters Edith & Amy. By 1920 they had moved to Terre Haute, Indiana and by 1930 they were living in Flint, Michigan. Adeline died October 23, 1941 leaving her husband Leonard, her daughters Anne, Edith, Amy and son John. Funeral services were held at St Andrews Episcopal Church. She is buried at Gracelawn Cemetery, Flint, Michigan.
