Mrs Agnes Byrne, 85, of 177 Frost Ave., Phillipsburg, died Saturday night in Easton Hospital where she was admitted May 9. Her husband, John P. Byrne, died in 1938. Born in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Gibney McNamee. She was a life-long resident of Phillipsburg and a member of Sts. Philip & James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jacob Karp, Easton: three sons, Robert, James, Phillipsburg, and John of Reading; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 8:15 a.m. Wednesday in the Finegan Funeral Home, Phillipsburg, following y Requien High Mass at 9 a.m. in Sts. Philip & James Church. (Easton Express/Express Times 5/20/1968)
