Jane Ewing Thompson was born ca. 1774. She married Nathaniel Thompson ca. 1797 in Tryon Co NC.,which is now York Co. SC. With her husband and her first 2 children of 4, she migrated to Maury Co, TN. prior to 1805. Her children were; an unmarried daughter, Jane Thompson(who is buried here in a marked grave), Anne Ewing Thompson Clanton, John A.Thompson, Mary Ann Thompson Neely White. Jane died before 1810, as her husband, Nathaniel, was married, a second time, by that date to Mary Hanna Caldwell. Jane is only presumed to be buried here but it is highly likely due to the fact that her daughter,Jane,as well as 4 infant grandson's; Nathaniel Thompson Clanton and John N.Clanton (children of her daughter Anne Ewing Clanton) and Augustus M. Thompson and William Thompson (infant children of her son John A. Thompson) are all buried here.
