Clover was a secretary at a Van Nuys, California bank prior to retiring in February 1988 to the Sunlake Retirement Center at Banning, California. She continued to entertain people during her career with the bank. In retirement she continued to perform and teach dancing.

Clover wrote "The past five years have certainly been my most uneventful. After retiring in Feb., 1988, I continued working part-time as a secretary in unrelated businesses and looked for a new home in which to spend my "Golden Years." I bought a lovely place in Sun Lakes Country Club between Riverside and Palm Springs. Moved here full time in Jan. '92 and am traveling and enjoying life."

Clover wrote for a school reunion publication: "I wanted to bring you up to date because I had no contact with anyone in D.C. [Dodge City, Kansas] since then. I came to Hollywood to study dancing in 1945, because I had a desire to learn everything I could about it and develop whatever talent I had - not with the thought of being a "star." Just because I loved doing it and wanted to do it right. I studied with Vera-Ellen's teacher, Johnny Mattson, and then with Donald O'Connor's teacher, Louis Lapron for about ten years. Did a lot of stage shows throughout California and early TV. Never got to do any movie work, but came close. . . I have gotten back into tap dancing - haven't broken anything yet, and am good for maybe another 42 [years]."

Internment was at the Fairhaven Cemetery, 1702 Fairhaven Ave, Santa Ana, California. A number of people who lived at the Sunlake Retirement Center, and who danced, sang, and performed theater with Clover attended her funeral. These people described Clover as "feisty, energetic, extroverted, and a person with a mind of her own.
