Johnny R. Arban
Johnny R. Arban, 59, of 3105 S.E. Third Ave., a pastor, died Wednesday in Marion County Community Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Alabama, he came to Ocala from Millen. Ga., seven years ago and was former pastor of the First Baptist Church of Citra.
Survivors include his wife, Voncille B. Arban of Ocala; two sons, Chad and Yul Arban, both of Ocala; two sisters, Mary Ann Muir of Anchorage, Alaska, Sue Batson of Wilmington N.C.; and seven brothers, Louis Arban of Ocala, Faris Arban, Knoxville, Tenn., Bill Arban, Savannah, Ga., Mack Arban, DeFuniak Springs, Charley Arban, Battle Creek Mich., J.C. Arban, Poplarville, Miss., and Hollis Arban of Plantation.

ARBAN, PASTOR JOHNNY R., Funeral services for Pastor Arban, age 59, former pastor of First Baptist Church of Citra, will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday Aug. 20, 1983, in Olivet Baptist Church, 8495 S. Magnolia, Ocala, with Pastors George Mikell, Albert Davidson, Glenn Bowan, and Raleigh Daniels conducting the services. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Friends may call 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Archway/Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 206 S.W. 10th St., Ocala, Fla. (732-9944)
