Carol L. Allis, 56, of Depot Rd., went home to be with her Lord Friday, January 24, 2003, following a period of declining health.

Carol was born on July 18, 1946 in Endicott, New York, a daughter of the late Morris and Laura (Hall) Corson.

She was a graduate of Windsor High School, Class of 1964 and attended Practical Bible School. Carol loved her Lord and was a devoted member of the Nichols United Methodist Church. She shared her love for the Lord by teaching Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, was involved with the Praise Band, and prayer groups. Carol always gave from her heart.

She was a certified nurse's aid at the Vestal Nursing Center for over ten years, and in 2000, she received the Employee of the Year Award.

Carol is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Fred Allis; her sons and daughters-in-law, Sean and Carin Clark, Donald and Cherryl Clark, Bret and Rene' Clark; her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Douglas Card; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ben and Sheila Corson, Ron and Pam Corson; sisters and brother-in-law, Patti and Arthur Alquist, Bonnie Swarts; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Harold and Juanita Allis; her brothers-in-law, Brian Allis, Dean Allis and his companion Kelly and their children Chelsea and Kyle; her special grandchildren, Andrew, Jessie, Robert, Laura, Chrystal, Josh, Justin, Gregory, twin grandsons, Adam and Kenny, Carlton "CJ", and Brittany; a great-grandson, Austin; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services and a celebration of Carol's life will be held on Monday, January 27, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Nichols United Methodist Church, with Rev. Val M. Rommel. Spring interment will be in the Nichols Cemetery. Flowers will be provided by the family and memorial contributions may be directed to the Vestal Nursing Center, 860 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal N.Y. 13850 in loving memory of Carol L. Allis.
