Jesse Jordan Armstrong, born July 26, 1969 in Clearwater, Florida, was promoted to glory and into the presence of his loving Savior and Lord on May 7, 2009. Jesse and his family had served as missionaries in Russia for over eight years, before a diagnosis of ALS brought him back to the U.S. just two years ago. He had a passion for the Russian culture and people. Jesse also loved the outdoors, and loved to study and learn. He was dedicated to his family and invested himself in passing on many practical life skills to his sons.

For the past two years, Jesse and his family have resided in Port Orchard. They are so grateful for the loving encouragement of the church family at Discovery Baptist Church in Gig Harbor, as well as other supporting churches and friends in the local area.

While rejoicing that Jesse is free from the pain and trials of ALS, he will be deeply missed by his wife of 17 years, Lisa Richter Armstrong; and their four sons: Christopher, Corey, Caleb and Coleton. Family members also include his parents, David & Mary Ann Armstrong; sisters, Ann Marie Harland, Stephanie Ricard, and Elizabeth Simbro; brothers, David Armstrong and Nathan Armstrong; mother-in-law, Joanne Richter; and sister-in-law, Tammi (Josh) Reid. Info per Kyle.
