IN MEMORIAM
Died at the home of her son, Seaborn Langdon Aycock, September 27th 1904, Mrs Caroline Dillard Aycock, and it seems that a kind of providence granted her desire to die at her old home and be buried by her old friends, having returned to her old homestead Saturday before her death Tuesday Following.The deceased was one of the pioneers of this neighborhood, having moved here when the country was unsetteled and comparatively a wilderness. A true friend , an affectionate companion, a devoted parent, and a most devout and zealous Christian, it can be truthfully said that she died without a enemy.With every heart pulsating with only love and admiration.

Whenever there was sickness and suffering within her radius, ever ready and willing to render any assistance within her power to allay pain and to assuage suffering; whenever there was beravement and sorrow,ever anxious to speak unto the despairing soul the light of hope, good cheer and encouragement,and cause them to look forward to brighter days. No greater eloquence can be pronounced upon character than that her life was principally devoted to the uplefting of her follow man.

Love of God and her fellow man was the granite rock to her religion;footprints in the sands of time will not soon be extinguished, such was the life and character of our departed friend. A perfect model and a ideal woman. If the veil could only be pushed aside and her friends and relatives could view her bliss, her joy, her happiness as she sings the joyous songs and walks the beautiful streets surronded by bright angels, and loved ones, radiant with glory, tears would be dried, greif banished and sorrow fled, and rejoicing and praise would overflow our earts at her superlative bliss; in the language of the poet we could but exclaim:

"Oh, how sweet it will be in that beautiful land,
So free free from all sorrow and pain. With songs on our lips and harps in our hands,
To meet one another again,"

Caroline Dillard Young Aycock and James Jackson Aycock 12th and last child was Carrie Leona Aycock born: 16 July 1868. Carrie Married William Thomas Lee a Ms. educator. The couple moved to Galveston Tx. where William had a job with the Galveston Co. School System. The couple had two children, Mamie E. Lee, Born 16 Nov 1889. Daisey D. Lee, born Feb.1891. Carrie died soon after the birth of Daisey. William remarried to Lilla May Gibbs and had 4 more children. William passed away 17 June 1903. Lilla and the children moved to Ok. to be close to Lilla's family . Lilla was a wonderful mother. All the children were well educated. Mamie and Daisey went to college at a Ms girls school. Both returned to Ok. to teach school with their Step Mother. The other children pursued careers of their own and was very successful
