Joshua was born on April 1, 1982, to Rupert Errol Halsted and Felicia Ann (Seward) Rumbo, in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated with the Class of 2000, from Hector High School, Hector, Arkansas. After graduation, he moved to Mesa, AZ, where he began a career as an Aerospace Quality Control Specialist. After many hours of training in the Aeronautics field, Josh had earned enough credits for an Associates in Aviation.
Josh was preceded in death by his father, Rupert Errol Halsted, his paternal grandfather, Rupert Wayne Halsted, his paternal step grandfather, Rigby Gene Sanders, his maternal grandfather, Ted Seward and maternal step grandfathers, Wiley Hunt and Peter Priestley.
He is survived by his mother, Felicia (Lanny) Rumbo; brothers, Jason (Tiffany) Halsted, Cody Halsted and Rocky Rumbo; paternal grandmother, Sharon Sanders; maternal grandmother, Doreen Priestley; a nephew and 2 nieces, Collin, Macy and McKenna Halsted. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends will mourn his passing.
Joshua could repair anything he got his hands on. If, he found a project to be challenging, he would view a Do-It-Yourself video on how to!! He loved working on bicycles, computerized items and vehicles. Josh was an avid bicyclist, riding BMX style with his friend Bryan Hanson; was a self taught guitarist where he played in bands, singing, jamming and writing songs.
A Celebration of Life service was held at the New Life Worship Center, Mesa, AZ, officiated by his uncle, Earl W. Halsted.
Cremation services provided by Horizon Funeral Care, Mesa, AZ. Final resting place to be, beside his dad, at the Witts Springs Cemetery, Witts Springs, Arkansas.
