Doris Allahar passed away on March 19, 2013. She was born March 7, 1926 in Balmaine Village, Trinidad West Indies.
Doris was born into a Hindu home but as a young girl she would run away every Sunday to attend service at a Pentecostal Church. Her prayer as a young girl was that God would send her a Christian husband and for all her children to be blessed. In 1943 at the age of 17 years old, The Lord answered her prayer and she married Hugh B. Allahar. Together they had fifteen children, which resulted in fifty-five grandchildren, eighty great grand children and two great great grandchildren.
Doris Allahar is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Allahar, daughters; Shirley and Margery, sons; David and Cyril and one grand daughter.
She leaves behind her children Margaret, Rudolph, Kenneth, Claudius, Gloria, Elizabeth, Pamela, Gemma, Lincoln and Annie, along with all one hundred and forty six grand, great grand and great great grandchildren.
Burial; Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8701 Almeda Genoa Road, Houston, TX.
