Obit: Mabel A. Akers CANTON - Mabel A. Akers, 61, went home to be with the Lord May 1. Mrs. Akers formerly resided 20 years in Uniontown, and lived the past year in Canton. She attended the Trinity Gospel Temple where she was a Sunday School teacher. She is now in Heaven with her father, Lacy A. Harless, and mother, Elsie Mae (Cline) Harless. Mrs. Akers leaves behind her husband, Sidney; son, daughter, three grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services Monday, 10 a.m. at the Hopkins UNIONTOWN Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St., one block northwest of the square at Rt. 619 and Cleveland Av., Pastor David Lombardi officiating. Burial Hillside Memorial Park, Akron. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
