Norman Dickson

Toccoa, GA - Norman William Dickson, 81, of Route 1, Mize Community of Franklin County, Widower of Essie Mae Cash Dickson, died Monday.
Born in Franklin County, he was a son of the late John Robert and Ella Pressley Dickson. He was a retired farmer, a former employee of Acree-Davis Funeral Home and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a charter member, deacon and Sunday school teacher of Welcome Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Thurmond (Roberta) Campbell and Mrs. Arthur (Frances) Campbell of Toccoa; sons, David Dickson of Eastanollee, Fred Dickson of Toccoa; sisters, Mrs. Thelma Oller of Sylvus, Ill., Mrs. Edna Hill and Mrs. Nancy Price of Toccoa, Mrs. Mildred Anderson of Eastanollee; brothers, H. J. Dickson of Tulsa, Okla., George Dickson of Conyers; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
Services at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Chapel Acree-Davis Funeral Home by the Revs. New ton Phillips, Ernest Ivester and Doug Dickson. Burial in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
