She was born in Monroe County, and was a member of the Friends Church in Barberton.
She was preceded in death by husband, George; daughter, Mrs. Franklin (Lela Pearl) Westfall,; and is survived by sons, Robert E of Mansfield, Vernon L of Lower Salem; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grand-children; and brothers, Arthur Carpenter of Barnesville, Martin of Ravenna.
