Born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI, Gary attended Kentwood High School. He served in the Michigan National Guard for six years and later attended Aquinas College earning a BA in business. He was employed at Steelcase and retired after 27 years. Gary and Char owned and operated Cook's Drive-In; a local favorite to this day. He was a very active member in the community and made many great friends throughout his life. His love for life, family, and friends were the qualities he stood for. We will miss his smile, humor, infectious laugh and business expertise. His tender loving heart and compassion will always carry on in the lives of those he touched.
