George W. Abernathy, 87, of Wolf Lake, died at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday at Jonesboro.
Mr. Abernathy was a retired farmer.
Born April 21, 1882, near Wolf Lake, he was the son of James and Isabelle Cook Abernathy.
He leaves a sister-in-law, Mrs. MinaAbernathy of Wolf Lake, two nephews and three nieces.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Norris and Sonfuneral Home, Jonesboro. The Rev. Murrell McGowan, pastor of the Wolf Lake Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
