Helena Brick Heibel died at age 66 on a Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. at the Heibel home north of Eden Valley from a cerebral hemorrhage, and had been ill for several years from a heart ailment. Helena was the daughter of John and Pauline Brick. She was born in Marystown, followed by a family move to a farm in Eden Valley as a young child. Helena married Gerard Heibel on September 9th, 1902, in Eden Valley, where the resided all their married lives. Helena is survived by her husband, two sons, Clarence and Aloys, daughters, Mrs Tony Westrup, all of Eden Valley and Aurelia Heibel of Minneapolis. Four daughters died in infancy.

Helena was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and of the Christian Mothers Society. The Funeral Mass was conducted by Reverend Father P.J. Gruenes At Assumption Church on Saturday, May 2nd, nine a.m., with interment at Assumption Cemetery.

Helena is also survived by ten granchildren as well as five sisters, Mrs William Hammes, Aidrich, Mrs. Anna Hukrieda, Eagle Bend, Mrs. Kate Stabler and Mrs. Marie Buckley, Chicago, and Mrs. Jerry Stelton, Minneapolis; three brothers, William Brick, Grey Eagle, Peter Brick Waite Park, and Jack Brick, Minneapolis.

Pall Bearers were six nephews, John Bauer, Mike Bauer, A.W. Dunn, Jackie Brick, Len Stelton and Raymond Heibel. Honorary pall bearers were Mrs. Kate Ackerman, Mrs. Herb Kramer, Mrs. Math Weber, Mrs. Nick Stoffel, Mrs. Peter Neu, and Mrs. William Arnold. Three Mass Servers and the cross-bearer at the Funeral Mass were grandsons.
