Irving L. "Skip" Allendorf Jr., 86, of Wallingford, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at MidState Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Bernice "Penny" Greenwood Allendorf.
He was born in Southington, May 28, 1926, a son of the late Irving L. Allendorf Sr. and Ruth Ingerborg Allendorf. He had worked for Meriden Gravure until his retirement in 1989.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Roberta Allendorf of New York; his brother, Robert Allendorf of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother William Allendorf.
Funeral services and interment in In Memoriam Cemetery will be private.
