Oscar Brandt Basehore

Oscar Brandt Baeshore, 23, died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Rebecca Brandt Baeshore, Gardners, R.1, Tuesday morning, after a lingering illness.

He had been a student at the Carlisle and York Springs high schools, but his illness did not permit him to graduate. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Carlisle. His father died last January.

Surviving are his mother; four sisters, Mrs. Glenn Gutshall, Red Lion, Florence Baeshore, Carlisle, and Beatrice Baeshore and Carol Baeshore, at home, and one brother, Charles Baeshore, also at home. His two grandmothers, Mrs. Florence Kane Baeshore, of Biloxi, Mississippi, formerly of Middletown, and Mrs. Barbara Ammon Brandt, of Mt. Airy.

Funeral services Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the L.C. Pittenturf funeral home, York Springs, with the Rev. Bessie Heckman, of Hamburg, officiating. Interment will be made in the Sunnyside cemetery, York Springs.

Friends may call at the Pittenturf Funeral home in York Springs Thursday evening.

Retyped from: The Evening Sun, Hanover, PA., Sept. 1, 1937

Note: between his parents generation and his generation, the last name spelling changed from Basehore to Baeshore. Also believe the spelling of his grandmother's maiden name is "Cain", not "Kane".
