Rolfe Coy Christopher was a photographer, businessman, public servant and devoted family man. He served as a photographer in WW2. He married Virginia Wood on June 6, 1942. They made their home on Zavalla Drive in Beaumont, Texas in the close-knit South Park Community where they raised three sons. Their family business was Christopher Studio Photography.
Rolfe served as Jefferson County Commissioner, Beaumont City Councilman and Commissioner for the Port of Beaumont.
Rolfe was cremated, and his ashes were scattered in Beaumont, TX alongside Rolfe Christopher Dr. which borders the campus of Lamar University and was named in his honor. Rolfe was an avid supporter of Lamar.
