She was born in March 1895 as Jennie Piersma in Chicago, very probably in one of its southern districts, Cook County, Illinois, daughter of Doeke (Richard) Piersma and Kestje (Carry) de Jong, who emigrated in 1887 or 1888 with their children from the Dutch northern province Friesland to the USA. In December 1893 they were living at 106th Street & Halsted Street in the former Dutch truck farmers settlement of Roseland, nowadays a southern district of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.

On 4 December 1916 Jennie Piersma married in the city of Blue Island, just south of Chicago, Worth Township, Cook County, Illinois at the age of 20 years to the 13 years older Render Aggen, since May 1915 widower and who had Dutch parents too.

In September 1918 she was living with her husband, the 34 years aged farmer Render Aggen, and their children in Blue Island, Cook County, Illinois.

In 1920 Jennie (23 y, born in Illinois), her husband Render Aggen (36, Illinois), his son Jacob (11, Illinois), his daughter Teheresa (6, Illinois), their daughter Carolina (2, Illinois) and their son Render Jr. (0, Illinois) were living at a rented home in Worth [Township?], Cook County, Illinois.

On 29 October 1926 they had in Worth [Township?], Cook County, Illinois daughter Jennie Jeanette. On 30 April 1929 a son died in Blue Island.

In 1930 Jennie (33), her husband Render Aggen (46), their children Jacob (21), Theresa (17), Carolina (12), Render (11), David (5, Illinois) and June (3, Illinois) were living (still) in Worth [Township?], Cook County, Illinois.

On 2 March 1931 Jennie died at the age of almost 36 years from complications of a child birth in the city of Blue Island, just south of Chicago, Worth Township, Cook County, Illinois. The next day, 3 March 1931 baby George P. Aggen, born on 22 February 1931, also died. He doesn't have a headstone at Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Chicago.
Widower and farmer Render Aggen died in May 1939 at the age of 55 years, probably in the village of Worth, just northwest of Blue Island, nowadays a southwestern suburb of Chicago, Worth Township, Cook County, Illinois.
