Born Nov. 12, 1896, Mrs. Carlson was the former Stella Morton, daughter of the late Fred and Bertha Van Kamp Morton. She was formerly a resident of Alma City for several years. Mrs. Carlson's first husband, Joe Lust, died in 1929. Two of her sons, Freeman and David Lust, died while in service during World War II. She leaves her husband, Carl Carlson, and five children by her first marriage. They are Walter and Virgil, of Pemberton; William, Morristown; Hubert, Matawan; and Mrs. Leta Griffin, Minneapolis. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four brothers, William, Fred and Edward Morton of Pemberton, and Harry Morton, Detroit, Mich.
