Helen E. Amey, age 94, of Deckerville, passed away Monday October 19, 2015 in Autumnwood of Deckerville.

She was born May 13, 1921 in Delaware Township the daughter of the late Charles L. and Amelia (Warczinsky) Deike.

She married Robert E. Amey Sr., July 15, 1939 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2000.

Mrs. Amey was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Palms, and served on the Lutheran Ladies Aid Society. She enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking and taking care of her family.

Helen is survived by three sons, Robert (Vicki) Amey of Deckerville, Jerry (Barbara) Amey of Commerce Township, Don (Sharon) Amey of Harbor Beach, one daughter, Ann (John) Niebauer of Marlette, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Marie Jones of Deckerville and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, six sisters, one great granddaughter Amanda Decker and one great grandson Jude Woodard.

Funeral services to honor the life of Helen E. Amey will be 11:00 AM., Thursday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Henry Hales will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM-8:00 PM., Wednesday and from 10:00 AM., until the time of the service on Thursday.

Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church or United Hospice.
