Mrs. Helen L. Mullinix
Mrs. Helen L. Mullinix, 68, Topeka, died Monday, Oct. 22, 1990, at a Topeka convalescent center.
Mrs. Mullinix had worked for Sears & Roebuck in Topeka before she retired in 1983. She moved to Tucson, Ariz., where she worked at Goldwafer's Department Store and was named Outstanding Employee of the Month.
She was born July 23, 1992, at Vliets, the daughter of Fred and Bridget Hayes Reust. She grew up in Topeka and was graduated from Seaman High School in 1941. She lived in Florida many years before she returned to Topeka in 1968.
Mrs. Mullinix was a member of Women of the Moose and Shawnee County Club
She was married to Henry P. Hendricks June 5, 1943, at Stillwater, Okla. He died Sept. 17, 1968. She married to Cecil Craft in 1972 in Toepka. He died April 26, 1974. She was married to Orlie Mullinix Dec. 29, 1977, in Nassau, Bahama Islands. He Survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Lynn Merkel, Homosassa, Fla.; two sons, Gene Hendricks, Tucson, Ariz., and Tim Hendricks, Houston, Texas; three stepdaughters, Linda Gardner, Topeka, Janice Mullinix, Wichita, and LaDena Mullinix, Fayetteville, Ark.; five sisters, Carolyn Moe, Winnie Kingman and Norma Engle, all of Topeka, Margaret Baker, South Coffeyville, Okla., and Katharyn Robinson, Conroe, Texas; a brother, bill reust, Parsons; eight grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Hope Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Mullinix will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Funeral home where relatives and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The casket will remain closed.
