Eileen Ward Berry

Eileen Ward Berry, 83, of 4630 South Pine Street, Spartanburg died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001.

A native of Butler County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Walter Glenn and Mary Alice McKinney Ward and the widow of Wayne Gaiser Berry.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Order of Eastern Star-Glendale Chapter #175, Kaylor Grange of Kaylor, Pa., and the Hillbilly Clan #2-Daisy Maes.

Survivors include six daughters, Janice Berry of the home, Elaine Layton and Melinda Barnwell, both of Roebuck, Elizabeth Gage of Spartanburg, Ruth Ann Brown of Pacolet, Alice McKelvey of Inma; one brother, Marvin Ward of Mission Viejo, Calif.; two sisters, Alma Mae Knupp of Girard, Ohio, Carma Crissman of Brookfield, Ohio; four grandsons, three granddaughters and three great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by a daughter Rita Sue Berry.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2001 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Marion Clark and the Rev. Glenn E. Englehardt.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brookview Restorative Health Care, 510 Thompson Street, Gaffney, S.C. 29340 or St. John's Lutheran Church Bus Fund, 415 South Pine Strreet, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
