BARBER, ALECIA MARIE

Alecia Marie Barber, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Harper University Hospital in Detroit from complications of recent surgery. Alecia 48, was born October 12, 1963, and lived most of her life in Plymouth, MI. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Ivey) Barber. Born the youngest of five children, she is survived by siblings: Dianne Barber, Richard (Virginia) Barber, Margaret Carter, Gayle Nelson, sixteen nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Alecia was special, being born with down syndrome. She showed friendliness and love, making friends wherever she went and was a joy to be around. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 1:00pm from the Schrader-Howell Funeral 280 South St, Plymouth. Visitation will begin at 10:00am until time of service. Burial will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia. Share memories at:
