Lawrence Jendrzey, 87, of Yorktown, died Saturday Mar. 31, 2012. He was born Aug. 10, 1924 in Yorktown to the late Frank and Crescentia Jendrzey. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and a life member of the Knights of Columbus. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Helen Migura Jendrzey, six children Gayle Jendrzey, Linda Bomba and husband Patrick, Michael Jendrzey and wife Doris, Joseph Jendrzey, William (Billy) Jendrzey, Christine Blaschke and husband Stephen; nine grandchildren Michelle Hoefling, Scott Jendrzey, Kim Smetters, Jeffrey Jendrzey, Jennifer Johnson, Kendra Blaschke, Shea Blaschke, Calli Blaschke and Mason Blaschke; and four great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers Victor, Edward and Tom Jendrzey.

Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 pm Tuesday Apr. 3, 2012 at Finch Funeral Chapel with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be 10 am Wednesday Apr. 4, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Jendrzey, Jeffrey Jendrzey, Shea Blaschke, Mason Blaschke, Jason Smetters, Bryan Hoefling, Caden Johnson and James Keith.

Memorials can be given to Holy Cross Catholic Church, Yorktown E.M.S. or Masses
