Green-Wood Cemetery
Section 136, Public Lot 28307, Grave #348.
Public lot graves, measuring about 4 by 8 feet in area, have room for only one stone apiece, limiting the space for inscribed text. A typical public lot grave can accommodate about 5 adults—more if those interred are infants or have been cremated. Unlike many public lot graves, the EDLEFESEN grave is marked—but the stone has sunk, leaving only “At Rest” visible across its top surface. Arrangements can be made with cemetery staff to have this stone raised and reset.
