Eight years ago Mr. Beeby prchased the business from his old employer and since that time has been conducting a large store at 1058 Broadway, and was very popular among the business men of the city. About five years after coming to this city, Mr. Beeby was married, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Dr. McLean. He leaves four children -- Esmeralda, aged 18, Mabel, aged 14, Robert J. Jr., aged 10, and Griffith, aged e [stet] years. A brother, James Beeby, resides at Berkeley and several sisters in the East. These latter are Mrs. Wooden, Mrs. DeLarue and Mrs. Snow of Central Square, New York; Mrs. Franches of Brewerton, N.Y., Mrs. Doane of South Carolina, and Mrs. Alger and Miss Georgia Beeby of Denver.
