In her obit, she was the widow of Captain John Charles Bean who ran the first train from Springfield to Nashville. She outlived her husband by 9 years and lived with her sister Mrs. Mattie Ann Holman Garland of Springfield. She was the daughter of James Calvin Holman and Martha Mathews.
