Havana- Mrs. Ruth Bruning, 88, a resident of the Havana Nursing Home for several years, died there at 5 a.m. today.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hurley Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Weidrich, pastor of the First Methodist church at Havana, officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill cemetery.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born Oct. 3, 1876, at Forest City, she was the daughter of Josiah and Ann Beard Jackson. She married John Herman Bruning Sept. 16, 1903, at Easton. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1955.
Surviving is one son, John, of Cincinnati, O.
Mrs. Bruning was a member of the First Methodist church, the Pipe Organ Society, and the WSCS.
